Dr. Kahn has been performing blepharoplasty for the past 20 years and
has performed over 1,000 blepharoplasty procedures. He has experience
with several different techniques and takes the best of them to tailor
the surgery to the patient's specific needs. Aesthetic eyelid surgery is performed on adults of all ages. Some people have blepharoplasty surgery to correct problems that are a result of aging, while others have inherited traits that cause them to seek treatment as early as their 20s or 30s.
The blepharoplasty surgery usually takes about 1 hour and there is little or no pain. You may experience some bruising and swelling afterwards, but may resume some activities the first week postoperatively. Most of our patients return to work in 10-14 days.
The amazing carbon dioxide (C02) laser has revolutionized eyelid surgery. It is held like a paintbrush and can remove unwanted skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids to correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes.
The laser is safer and more effective than other methods and does not change the overall shape of the eye when performing blepharoplasty.
The eye lift as well as the C02 laser treatments are performed on an outpatient basis here in our state-of-the-art surgery center, eliminating the need for costly hospitalization.
