How long does the Botox procedure take?
Botox is a non-invasive treatement which only takes a few minutes to inject and doesn’t require any anesthesia.
How long is the healing process? When can I return to work after receiving Botox?
This is an outpatient treatment which doesn’t require any time off of work. You can even do it during your lunch break.
Is the recovery painful?
Pain is at a minimal level and pain medication is not needed after a
Botox treatment.
Are there any scars or bruises left from the procedure?
Botox is injected with a very tiny needle; with an experienced doctor it will leave no scar.
When will I be able to see the results?
The Botox injection starts to work 2-3 days after it is administered, and continues to work 7-10 days afterwards. The results last as long as 6 months.
How common are revisions for this procedure?
Patients who want to maintain a wrinkle-free appearance usually continue the Botox treatment every 6 months. Some patients find that the Botox effects last longer the more the respective areas are treated.
Is Botox associated with any risks?
There are no risks when using Botox, although there may be some temporary side effects such as headaches, respiratory infection, flulike symptoms, droopy eyelids or nausea.
